HAIR:
· Preschool & Kindergarten: We respect sensitivities to hair; if possible, please secure the dancer’s hair away from the face. If not, freestyle hair is okay.
Dress Code
Girls:
· We acknowledge sensitivities to tight fabric. If leotard and tights are not an option, please dress the dancer in comfortable activewear.
· Leotard and tights with ballet skirt or tutu (preferred). We encourage colors, creativity, and fabulous tutus!

· Ballet and Pointe: Hair secured tightly in a bun to prevent injury and allow appropriate usage of the dancer’s head.

Ballet and Pointe (Level 1 and Up)
Female Dancers:
· Black leotard and pink tights. (If a dancer has leotards of other colors, she may wear them until they are outgrown.)
· Dance skirts (sheer) for all ballet levels.
· Ballet 5: colored leotard of choice with pink or black tights.
· A ballet warm-up layer may be worn at the start of the class.
Shoes:
· Split sole pink leather or canvas ballet shoes. Please speak directly with the instructor for recommendations on shoe selection based on the anatomy of the foot.
· Please speak directly with the instructor for recommendations on pointe shoe selection based on the anatomy of the foot. A specialized fitting must be scheduled for initial fitting or potential fitting/shoe changes.
Males Dancers:
· Black dance pants, black long biking shorts or black tights with a dance belt for older dancers with a white or black fitted t-shirt or tank top.
Shoes:
· Split sole black leather or canvas ballet shoes. Please speak directly with instructor for recommendations on shoe selection based on the anatomy of the foot.

· Please refrain from wearing loose-fitting clothing (sweat pants, athletic shorts, baggy t-shirts) as it will hinder your ability to dance as well as the instructor’s ability to adequately evaluate your body lines and placement.

Hip Hop (All Levels)
Hair: Hair secured away from the face
Attire:
· Shorts or pants with a fitted t-shirt or tank top.
· Please refrain from wearing hats in class unless requested by the instructor.
Shoes:
· Tennis shoes of any kind as long as they are supportive of the ankle and have a smooth surface on the bottom of the shoe.
· Please refrain from wearing “street worn” tennis shoes into class. The rocks, debris, and dirt will damage the flooring in the studios.
Shoe Suggestions
Preferred Characteristics: tennis/athletic shoes of any kind are acceptable as long as they provide ankle support and have a smooth bottom surface. Please refrain from wearing “street worn” shoes (sand, rocks, debris, and dirt could damage studio flooring).
